Chassis
& Frame:
Lara
Floats chassis are made from Super Gall.
All of our joins are fully welded all the way around,
not just spot welded. The frame is made from RHS
steel and is zinc sprayed, etched primed and then painted
with top coat. This is all done to ensure maximum rust
protection, strength and maximum life span. We give you
peace of mind that your float and most importantly your
horses are safe and sound.
 
Tailgate:
Lara
Floats tail gates are extra high and once again fully
welded around the joins for that added extra strength.
It is also zinc & etched primed then sprayed to the colour
of your choice. A 14mm high tensile spring is used so
anyone can open and close it! A tailgate latch pull back
system is used so it can be locked up using a padlock.

Floor:
Lara
Floats floors are made from 18ml Marine ply with
plastic coating on both sides to make it extra water resistant.
We glue our rubber to the floor and then cork & seal it
making it even more water resistant and improving life span.
Roof:
Lara
Floats roofs are high quality Deep Deluxe fiberglass
which are supported by roof bows for strength & durability.
This roof allows horses up to 17.5 hands high. The roof is
glued & sealed. They are also fitted off with a stylish silver trim
Other Features ~
Guards:
The
guards are a Tandem 4 fold Zinc-Alume, so you
don’t have to worry as much about rust if the guard is chipped.
The guards are zinced, primed and then painted.
Barn
Doors:
We have implemented a special strip across the
bottom of the door so it makes it more water and dust resistant
and therefore does not need a handle. This design give a much
tighter fit which also reduces rattle.
Bum-Bar:
Lara Floats are proud to produce a new locking system
which is very easy and quick to use. This design uses a lockable
system which locks the bum-bar into the center divider. This
gives added strength and helps with those horses who have
trouble getting in the float and tend to back out.
 
Drawbar:
This is just one part of our floats which everyone
raves about… That towing it is a breeze! This
extra long drawbar
is just one of the many things that makes a our floats so easy
to tow.
Where's
the water?:
As mentioned above the inside, including windows and roof
are corked to reduce dust, dirt and water. This stops the water
getting in behind the sheets and creating rust.
